Why Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) matters to you in Singapore and what you need to know about it

The Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) have issued guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests (TG-FWAR), setting out requirements and good practices for employers. These guidelines aim to improve inclusivity at the workplace and bring benefits to both employers and employees. The implementation will begin on 1 December 2024. Countries like Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and New Zealand are known for their progressive approach to flexible work arrangements. Integrating gig workers with full-time employees can optimize resource allocation and enhance productivity. It’s important for employers to proactively implement flexible work arrangements to attract and retain top talent.
